Hmmm so another 12 days of this crap then (and MAYBE they'll be nice and let off for Christmas), then back again next year..

Fsck em properly... I will be taking as much of my house off grid as is economically feasible at this point.... The decision has been made.

It's an option, but the fsckup for some of us is that when the power goes, the water follows soon after because the pumps are unable to get water to the reservoir.

JHB Water obviously hasn't heard of backup generators...

I'm expecting that to happen at some point as well to be honest in my neck of the woods... but I will cross that bridge after I've blown all my money sorting out the power issue.

We're screwed either way,
- When business closes it means Eskom will also not have any available contractors for patching up the issues they have with their generating plant
- Because businesses will have closed, the only way they can get in contractors will be at ridiculously expensive rates making the maintenance crazy expensive
- Or they leave the maintenance until early next year meaning we'll just pick up where we left off next year at stage 2
