Experiences with livestainable.co.za?

Takes a bit of time to do research, and the first post I made shows that the address for the site says its another business.

Google View says:

298 Issie Smuts Street, Garsfontein says its Wave roofing. So I'd avoid.

I'm still looking up more info.
Look at their Web page. The address given there is the updated one in Morelapark. Nice offices.Good and friendly service. I collect my orders at their offices.

They promote Geyserwise ECO products. I have bought and installed 4, all successful. The best part of the kit is a stainless steel element with solid-state heaters.

However, there is a good alternative from Geysertech. This uses your existing element and is cheaper. Installed one in November and it is working very well

I might have got this if I could find information on it. What rate does it actually heat at with two 550 W panels? If it's chopping DC into AC without boosting the voltage, then the most it would manage is 6 A / 600 W and much worse in marginal conditions.

The Geyserwise MPPT + element makes good use of two panels but at R 6.5k it's not cheap and that's before you waste more money on the redundant controller and thermostat... given current panel prices you might save money getting an extra panel and a Geysertech. But not that much.

Ideal would be a geyser or flange that accepts two simple resistive elements, normal low resistance for AC and higher resistance element for DC. Fed with a basic battery-charger type MPPT. Total cost with two panels shouldn't be more than R 7-8k.
