Experiencing slow BlackBerry Internet? RIM SA says there's no problem

Vodacom BIS speeds are pathetic.
Whatever they have done to "improve" it, has reduced the amount of timeouts, yet it is still so sloooow to load a web page.
This is on a 9780 with supposed 3G signal.

BBM and email speed is fine unless trying to open an attachment.

If this is RIM's response i.e. there is no problem, well then they fully deserve the sinking ship. Yes speeds will improve when all the users desert !

Over 2.4 million BlackBerry smartphones on the Vodacom network alone, so this doesn't surprise me.

Too many youths texting and sending photos of their lunch to each other...

i've managed to pull two coworkers towards android (sgs3), but i think blackberry deserves all the credit.

to me it seems like dingleberries are always doing one of the following:
busy booting up
being repaired
waiting to timeout

i went for the htc magic in 2009 and was wondering if i shouldn't have gone for a blackberry. i'm so glad i didn't.

bbos10 will cure the slowness of bis about as much as wearing red pants makes your car go faster.

Wife and I are on Vodacom BIS and it is dog slow all day and even worse at night. Since I got my Galaxy Tablet I do not use the BB for browsing at all any more as it is too painful!

Have spoken to peeps on MTN BIS and they say theirs is a bit better but also painful at night. I have not found any Cell C or 8ta users to query.

My suggestion to RPM: can mybroadband not do another "netdynamix" and get 4 of the same BB models, stick a BIS enabled sim from each cellular network in each and run usage/speed tests at several times during the day? This should conclusively prove whether the problem lies with the networks or with RIM themselves!

What a load of BS!

Getting the new BB will make no difference.
My device and BIS used to work perfectly until RIM started allowing Vodacom to throttle it's users. Even when Vodascum was complaining about all the BIS abuse, it still worked perfectly. Now it's just crap. An expensive paper weight.

I have two months till my upgrade and then I'll be done with blackberry. I'll never touch another BB again! Die blackberry!
And f@#$ Vodacom too!
All my friends and family have already dropped Blackberry and Vodacom, I'm the only fool left.

To anyone considering getting a blackberry, don't, you'll just be disappointed. The only good thing about BB was the BIS, but now it's so @#$%ing slow it's just a waste.

My SO decided she's decided her BB is no longer what she wants as it is too slow. she gave it to her son, who never even bothered to put his sim in it. Says a lot?

Did she also go Android? My wife does not want anything else now...

Android for life - SGS3 is a dream phone.

I have never owned a kakberry and I never will. I shall use articles like this to convince work colleagues who still cling to those useless pieces of plastic that it is time for a switch.

How dare this "MD" even make a statement like "there aren't any widespread problems" and then say "but the new OS will fix up the near non existant problem"? Sure, the article may have quoted her out of context but the underlying message is there. Empty promises to keep the kakberry dream going for those who still believe in fairy tales and Santa Claus. "Please believe us, the rainbow is just around the next corner!" Desperation from a failing brand more like it.

Come over to Android. We have Cookies, Eclairs, Ice Cream Sandwiches and Jelly Beans.

Pages load instantly on my S3.

My old blackberry took 5 minutes to load Google.. if it did not time out. Piece of crap
