Expiring free Wi-Fi on prepaid.

I expected the free Wi-Fi to expire at midnight (00h00 on 30 October 2015) but it only did so at 07h15. That just happened to be exact time I had loaded up my airtime (which allowed me get the free Wi-Fi) a month earlier. Is this how Telkom does it or was there an error and it should have expired at midnight? I know it's like sooo last year but I just couldn't let this go, somebody please give me some closure.
