Oh please, there's been far worse in the past and here we still are over a decade later. Team orders (kak as they are) has been part of F1 for ages.

I don't have a problem with team orders, it is part and parcel of this sport. I have a problem with this decision as it wasn't required.

True, there are still 125 points in play this season.
Or if we are playing the numbers game those 7 points represent 5.6% of available points, where at the start of the Season a race win was worth only 4.76%. So the extra 7 points could make a big difference statistically as no doubt the Strategy Computer pointed out to Toto Wolff at the time.

But that is just me clutching at straws as I have fun with my new Scientific Calculator :)

Some rumours about Merc expecting engine penalties in the upcoming races? and where has Ferrari's increase in HP gone to since Spa?

Merc discovered Ferrari's trick and copied it. The full explanation is very technical but the bottom line is that Ferrari, and now Merc, have modified the MGU-H to act as an extra Turbo. The MGU-H does not provide any real torque to the drivetrain, all it does is spool up the turbo faster to eliminate it's natural lag.

As a result Ferrari lost their advantage and Merc have the Superior PU again.

Plus Merc fixing their rear tyre issue.

Have to laugh at Alonso. They tell him Stroll won't stop again and he has enough life in his tyres to try and attack. His response; ''Yes mate, we are P15, I don't care''.

If you ever wanted the ultimate example of a man's DILLIGAF attitude to his job, it is Alonso. Who can blame him though...

Its Austria 2002 all over again.

Rubens had Michael's number all weekend and then out of the blue Todt decided to shuffle them right at the end.

No it wasn’t lol. Very different circumstances. It was closer to the few Kimi/vettel swaps the past couple of years.

Farcical team orders are farcical.

Don't care what Horner (****ed Ricciardo and Webber a few times in favour of his blue-eyed boys) or Palmer say. Take one look at Bottas' face after the race, look at Hamilton's demeanour and take in the opinion of non-Mercedes/Hamilton fans and you know why I call it a joke.

It's a joke to Vettel fans because Vettel loses lol. I've made my opinion on the subject known, but it's in no way comparable to Austria 2002 lol.

Not a Vettel fan, so keep trying.

My cars were running around at the back, so I have to watch what goes on in front and what went on in front was a load of crock. Driver that deserved to win was robbed when Hamilton's championship lead isn't even remotely under threat.

I didn't say you were.

7 points is 7 points. If they didn't give him the win, a DNF at Suzuka could mean he's only 18 points in the lead. With 5 races to go, there's room for 5 more DNFs. If you think that's insignificant then you surprise me. It aint over till it's over. The DWC and having only the second 5 x DWC in history in their stable is worth a heck of a lot to any team.

Great vid. Reminded me what I missed during that race... including next year's incredible Vettel team-mate Le Clerc making best of the rest in a Williams. Stunning. And again Verstappen showing why he's the most aggressive and exciting driver on the track.

Any links to this theory? I heard they have solved their traction and wear issue on the tyres.
