So Bottas is now closer in points to Vettel than Vettel is to Hamilton

Actually I think Vettel learned bad habits at Red Bull. That car was too dominant. He expected verstappen to back off. As for Verstappen expecting Kimi to back off because he wasn’t on the racing line while Max went farming... ludicrous lol.
Ah well Vettel went for broke but it didn’t pay off. Glad he went for it though.

57 Points - I bet he wants his 7 points back now
Not really. He may be closer but it'll be more difficult to make up those points unless you are winning.

Besides, who cares about second place?

Just caught up on the race, Vettel really was a dumb knob, but it was quite entertaining to see him going spinning  and it wasn’t even wet :p

Nah, I say let him go for broke. It's his best chance IMO. He has to win races. Doing the right thing. Besides, Max got a bit of his own medicine.

Except he would have taken Max on the pit stop without any risk, now it’s virtually impossible for Seb to win the championship.

One more win for Lewis and one more 3rd or under for Seb and Lewis is champion.

Vettel doing his own thing is what's gotten Ferrari in this mess. Too much of micro-managing the team from the cockpit is costing him. Also, what is up with Kimi? Such a bland racer he has turned into again.

Agreed, Seb has messed up his own season, today’s idiocy is just a perfect example of that, he knew he had 5 seconds on Max and yet he still took a totally unnecessary risk, he could have been the one behind Bottas for the last 10 laps pushing the Mercs. It could have all been so different if he hadn’t suffered a brain fade like he did...

If this was the Senna era, Kimi would be in Max's face post race and Max in Vettel's face :D

I think the guy doesn't play enough PS4 like HAM does. Sometimes you need that reminder that there's no room in certain turns if you going in hot. Baku, Paul Ricard, Monza and now Suzuka have all seen him come off like an idiot in wheel to wheel situations

People have said for years that Vettel is only a really accomplished racer when he’s leading, when he’s actually fighting for positions he just doesn’t have the sophistication and cool head to consistently race, he makes too many mistakes.
