Hamilton and Vettel are supposed to be quite friendly off track, it’s probably no wonder he’s the one to come out in support.

What a loser is Hamilton lol

My new guy LeClerc would never allow that lol

Just think how good it would be if Max joins Ferrari alongside Vettel....
Would be very good for Ferrari.
I'm kinda hoping for a LeClerc and Max matchup at Ferrari. Ferrari are really digging in deep with their troubles. The Italian media are ripping Vettel, team boss and strategist apart and you don't don't blame them when Ducati have brought home so much more success this year.

C'mon they can't have a strategist. You are just taking the piss now.

If Leclrec proves capable of leading Ferrari then I doubt that will happen. Ferrari have long shied away from having two alphas in their cars.

I'd say there is a strong chance of Danny Ric down the line, fulfilling the Kimi role of 'reliable yet non-threatening veteran' if Renault doesn't bare any fruits.

Hulkenberg recently said Renault is still about two seasons away from winning races based on present development curves. That would make Ric 31 by the time Renault could realistically start winning races and that is also the year his contract with Renault expires. He may have options if things are not going to plan.

Would be nice to see the hulk in a ferrari come to think of it. Not the most consistent driver but should be good enough as a number two. Although not sure if he would be comfortable in a support role.

He nearly was a Ferrari driver, contract talks were at an advanced stage in 2013 but Kimi got the nod at the last minute.

He's 31 and at this point in his career I reckon he'll take a top-3 drive for the chance at even winning a few races. By the end of next season he'll likely be 3rd on the all-time list with most races without a win. Heck, he hasn't even been on the podium.

Cue the Jaws music. There will soon be another Schumacher in F1

Schumacher Jnr eyes F3 title, F1 'super licence'

Mick Schumacher is poised to emulate the exploits of his famous father and claim his first Formula Three title this weekend – and take a likely step towards Formula One. After nine of 10 rounds, the teenage son of stricken seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher leads the junior F3 drivers' championship by 49 points with 25 more up for grabs in each of the final three races this weekend at the Hockenheim circuit, near Heidelberg. The 19-year-old German is staying calm ahead of the races – two on Saturday (0800 and 1430 GMT) and one on Sunday (0800) – on the German circuit. "I will still go one step at a time and only look from race to race," insisted Schumacher junior. His father has not made a public appearance since suffering serious head injuries in a skiing accident in December 2013 and is recovering at the family home in Switzerland.

The Schumacher name has brought a huge amount of media attention to the Formula Three circuit and the young driver for the Prema Theodore Racing team.
"It opens doors, but you still have to prove what you can do," said Schumacher, who has taken control of the drivers' championships with five straight wins and a second place in his last six races. More podium places this weekend would hand young Schumacher his first major title – and open the door to racing in Formula One. A top-two finish in the final Formula 3 standings would see Schumacher qualify for a FIA 'super licence', a prerequisite for the jump to Formula One. Schumacher has never made a secret of his ambition to follow in his famous father's footsteps. "I focus on myself and do not look at the other drivers, everyone has their own development, so you can't compare," he told AFP subsidiary SID in 2017.

Having stood on the podium after 12 of the 27 races this season, Schumacher Junior has been impressive in the last nine races, finishing in the top three on eight occasions. His 2018 campaign really took off after his first win this season in July on Belgium's Spa circuit, a track where his father won the Formula One Grand Prix a record six times.

Personal backing from Deutsche Vermögensberatung as well, just like his dad.

He'll probably get everything he needs to reach the top due to his name but at the same time no driver in the history of the sport will be under the same scrutiny due to the same name.

Williams sign Mercedes junior Russell on multi-year deal

F1’s grid for 2019 has edged closer to completion with the news Mercedes reserve driver George Russell will make his race debut with Williams next season…
Russell, who has driven in two FP1 sessions for Force India and four tests for Mercedes, will take Lance Stroll’s seat at Williams with his team mate yet to be announced.

this is such a joke - they overlooked Ocon for a n00b??? How the F are they going to develop their car with this kind of nonsense???
