contentious decisions to be assessed after the race should be left up to a fan vote like Driver of the day..........

if i was charles, i would not want the win anymore anyway, who wants your first win to be after the fact??

For starters, he stood no chance against Max. You know, we talk about driving over the limit, but what about defending over the limit? It was game over for Charles and he knew that.

Iyoud think it was a simple as "Who was in front? Max. Whose line was it: the guy in front - Max"

"Let's go have a beer!"

Two things from that race. Epic win by Max, he had to try and whatever the stewards outcome, that was the drive of the year I reckon. And Charles - man that guy has class. Even in the face of 'defeat' he didn't badmouth anyone but said he's happy to let the stewards make the decision.

Now THAT's how you take on Mercedes.

The two most memorable drives in the past 10 years have come from Verstappen IMO.

Still nothing from the Stewards yet?
From sky news:
90 minutes now since the stewards' hearing began and the two drivers were summoned the race finished very nearly three hours ago and still No indication about what is going to happen.

Ridiculous. It doesn't impact a championship or anything and wasn't even close to serious.

They saw sense and ruled for the sport not a team.
That and the knowledge that 30,000 drunk Dutchmen armed with empty beer bottles were waiting for them to try and leave the circuit :)

Paul di Resta tells Sky Sports News: "I'm not surprised. If we hadn't had that decision in Canada, I don't think anybody would've questioned it. It was 50-50, and I sat on the fence based on that decision.
"This is racing and you need to get your muscles out. It's a shame for Charles as he was a little hard done by, but at the same time, if there wasn't the tarmac there he probably would've backed out of it.
"There was a massive round of applause here when the decision was announced, at the home of Red Bull racing."

Di Resta adds: "The drivers were able to go up and give evidence against what they thought, and it was always going to be a hard one to get right.

"The drivers' steward Tom Kristensen is respected by everybody as a seven-time Le Mans winner. Ferrari were hard done by in Canada, and there's no right or wrong answer - one team was always going to end up being upset."

Ferrari will be fuming, and rightfully so.
Not so much because of this incident, but the Vettel Hamilton one which should have had the same verdict.
