ugh i hate these brainy races.

and i hate how the commentators always try to dangle this carrot infront of us by saying "by the end he will have fresh tyres and on a mega charge" lets just be honest, nothing ever happens at then end with fresh tyres

They need to give him time and bring him in already - should have done it laps ago. Expect a Ferrari customer induced safety car any time....

Looks like Bottas might be in DRS range in the next lap or 2.

And Hamilton is coming into DRS range of Bottas...

It was worth the try though, and statistically probable, but the luck was against him.

As the commentators just said, if he does a normal pit stop he’ll even be behind Max now.

And Bottas has just taken another 3 seconds out of Leclerc’s lead.

Yeah he should have been pitted a few laps back

Leclerc’s gamble is starting to go wrong, he’s now under a safety car pit stop in front and the Mercs are catching him up pretty quickly, he’s lost around 5 seconds on them in a handful of laps.

Reminds me of the Hamilton blunder last year. He was something like 15 seconds ahead. They kept him out and when he finally pitted it was down to a couple.

Agreed, Ferrari pit wall seem to have gone to sleep.

Good point. Leave him out long enough to give Vettel a nice big advantage without obvious team orders.

Yup. Make them chase him down, chew their tyres up with Vettel following slightly less aggressively.

Then they take the lead, tired tyres and Vettel can overtake.

Or probably crash.
