You say that... but the ordinary people aren't. Unless you consider having a passive-aggressive christmas lights display competition with your neighbours as toxic?

Amsterdam Christmas lights, churches, public urination, weed and naked women all in one street.

We're not toxic, just plain siff.

It's absolute trash, I'm running direct cable 100Mbps Fibre.
DSTV is totally over subscribed and with the popularity of F1 this year they keep dropping connections.
I tend to watch DSTV if I can but at the first sign of trouble I switch to an internet feed of SKY Sports F1.
I pay DSTV for F1 and they are in turn just restreaming SKY F1
The only "value added" is them replacing the UK advertisers with SA advertisers so as far as I am concerned I have paid for the content and am not pirating it.
Only the local advertisers lose out and their fight is with DSTV not me.

You really don't need to be that guy who's Xmas lights are considered a hazard to aviation you know?

Given my location I'd be more worried about luring ships to their doom :D

But seriously there are some houses that really put on an awesome display around here

Karen Horner is having a bit of a meltdown it seems.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner accuses Mercedes of a smear campaign against Max Verstappen

Christian Horner has accused Mercedes of conducting a smear campaign to deprive Max Verstappen of his first Formula One title.

Horner said: ‘Of course it’s been a concerted campaign by Mercedes. Totally. It’s been part of a narrative to put as much pressure on the stewards to act differently from any other race.

'This is a campaign that’s been driven covertly to put the spotlight on Max, give him a tag-line, portray him as this mad, irresponsible driver, put as much pressure as you can on him, on the team, and ultimately on the governing body.

Race director Michael Masi has threatened to deduct championship points — close to unheard of in F1 — if he thinks a driver is deliberately targeting his opponent, which has outraged Horner further.

He believes this is specifically aimed at his driver and would regard it as an unprecedented penalty in this campaign.

Horner would not rule out legal action if Verstappen is denied in this way and, asked outright if Red Bull would go to court if Verstappen was given a penalty not consistent with punishments across the 2021 season, Horner said: ‘You’ve got to look at the context. The one thing you’re looking for is consistent application of the rules, and why is this grand prix different from any other grand prix that we’ve attended this year?

He has a point though, no? Shouldn't the rules (and penalties) be uniform across the season?

Nah, think about it outside of F1 (SkySports, Damon Hill etc). How about their media towards the Springboks, SA COVID variants etc. In fact there are articles about them they wrote themselves claiming they are a toxic country.

Probably more their press/media culture but really - what a shitty island.

And don't drag Russell and Norris into this. They can stay.
Far more integrated than most of Europe though. Mainland Europeans are generally snobs who know the answer to the world's problems, they just don't want to be involved

They're doing this, so we'll do likewise? But threatening the FIA? How desperate must he be to win again.

They're never going to be perfect. When last could you honestly say the rules were applied perfectly? There's too much opinion in there.
Basically Horner says they were too lenient on Max before, they can't start bringing out the rule book now.

Max the only one who had incidents this year?

UK media bias has been around for ages in F1. I doubt Merc needs to life a single finger to keep that train going

F1tv for the win. No adverts, no tiger wheel and tyre across half the screen...

No buffering and you can just skip back...brilliant
