Haas haven't developed the car, its essentially the same car they used in Abu Dhabi. They are focusing on 2022. Guenther Steiner has said they anticipate a difficult 2021.

I like how many experts and engineers there are in this thread now. It was two Friday practice sessions. Can't predict much form it. Towards the end of FP2 the race sims showed Mercedes and Red Bull being on par but Mercedes seemingly having power turned down for Practice.

Lance isn't just in F1 because he is "Daddy's boy". The dude had legit pace and knows how to race. He got a podium with a Williams. He won the Formula 3 European Championship in 2016. He got podiums last year.

I actually think that it's fine for Mick to be in a bad car this year. Since Formula 4 he has shown that he is a slow learner on new machinery. He tends to come alight in his second season.
