Verstappen may now be at a point where he will either be able to match or better Hamilton's driving ability. Hamilton is now in his late 30s and so his reflexes will naturally slow down a bit.

However, you can't win races on ability alone, by that logic, JP Montoya would have been a world champion.

Verstappen still has some way to go before he can match Hamilton's in-race IQ.

My personal opinion for the past two seasons; Verstappen is the best racer on the grid. In an equal car he will beat Hamilton.

He couldnt beat Hamilton in a faster car?
Joking aside, probably not.

He has a tendency to over drive his car, in the early days that meant first or second corner pileups, hence the Max Verchrashen moniker.
His current driving stile has matured along with the Redbull Performance and he is at his peak.
But suddenly transplant him into not just the most powerful car on the grid (MB) but one that is a step beyond that and the harmonious car/driver control we are currently enjoying from Max may well desolve into chaos.
I agree with thestaggy , in an equal car yes ;)

Like what happens with Russell
It was the Team that let Russell down, he handled that car just as well as Hamilton and I think that scared a lot of people in the team.
I am not saying the pit stop fiasco was deliberate, but I do think it may have been the crew taking their mind off the game because they were so shocked watching Russel perform.

I think you missed my sarcasm. I'm saying Verstappen 2021 would wreck Hamilton 2021

Verstappen 2021 vs Prime Hamilton is a different story. Who knows.

Previous race, do you even watch F1?

Lol.

1 race in his 5-year career. And refresh my memory, didn't he pass Lewis only for the race director to decide that he was now going to start penalising track exploits?

No, he went all wheels off to make a pass and like has happened in hundreds of previous instances over the years was told to give the place back.

- Qualifying: Lap times would be deleted if exceeding track limits as it was deemed advantageous to setting a time.
- Race: Hamilton exceeded track limits 29-times but somehow no advantage was ever deemed to have been obtained doing this.

Yeah no. Not buying that fvck up by Michael Masi.

Where does either refer to overtaking?
