Ever since the retirement and subsequent Passing of Murray Walker it has been a matter of trying to find the least annoying commentator out there. My current favorite is Harry Benjamin, who has filled in for Crofty a few times.
The rest of the crew, on both F1TV and Sky are veterans of BBC and/or ITV and Sky has added a few ladies to the mix, so in reality F1 still has that British Bias as most of the team are British veterans. F1 TV have tried to approach the younger, mostly American market so are almost anti Brit in an effort to differentiate. But having only ever seen one session recorded from F1TV I am not in a position to form an opinion on their overall coverage.
I used to enjoy James Hunt.

Hell yeah I can't wait this month has been painful and we get a sprint weekend

Haas' special livery is just the same livery. That's special because everyone else has a special livery so they're special by not having on.

Special thinking indeed.

Sounds like someone’s been naughty

F1’s governing body the FIA has confirmed that it is taking immediate action from this weekend’s United States Grand Prix amid concerns that an unnamed team is exploiting a ride-height trick.

A number of teams have reportedly been locked in talks with the FIA over recent weeks over suspicions that an unidentified team is adjusting the clearance of the front bib – commonly known as a T-tray – between qualifying and the race.

Although the trick would bring a significant aerodynamic benefit, allowing teams to adjust the car to suit the different ride-height demands of low-fuel runs of qualifying and a heavier fuel load for a race distance, it would represent a clear breach of F1’s technical regulations which forbid tweaks to the aero configuration of the car outside of the front wing under parc fermé conditions.

It is said that a team may have found a way to circumvent this rule by allowing the settings to be changed from inside the cockpit, potentially by a mechanic during routine pre-race preparations.

Although the FIA has found no conclusive evidence that the trick has been used by a team, the governing body has confirmed that it is changing its procedures on checking front bibs from the US GP.

Why there’s no transparency about whose complaining and whose being complained about is a mystery to me.

"... In a statement to PlanetF1.com, a senior team representative confirmed the existence of the system, and said it has been addressed at length in conversation with the FIA.

“Yes it exists although it is inaccessible once the car is fully assembled and ready to run,” the representative said.

“In the numerous correspondence we have with the FIA, this part came up and we have agreed a plan going forward.”... "

Catering, trays, bibs hmmmm.

So they design, build and incorporate a system that is not there to be used and is inaccessible? Rather weird…

Perhaps it's just a safety feature? By raising the ride height it is easier to do catering for the driver as you don't need to bend as low.
