F1 2025

What the heck happened to the 2024 thread? It's still 2024 and there's still plenty to discuss about the 2024 season from what I can tell.

F1 2024 related:
So yeah, I felt Abu Dhabi was a good race.

- Lap 1 dramas! Max's push your opponent off the track trick weirdly didn't work against Piastri 🤔
- Perez earned his "Biggest disappointment 2024" medal by Lap 2. This dude needs to give up his seat, you can't race like that in a top team in F1.
- What a mad start by Leclerc! 11 places up in Lap 1! He hauled that thing onto the podium!
- Zhou was making that Sauber sing
- Hamilton had an excellent drive to P4, even taking Russell on the last lap
- Gasly had a good race in that Alpine, there's hope for them yet.
- Norris converted a pole to a comprehensive win which proved he has learnt a lot this year.
- Congrats to McLaren for winning their first constructors in many years 🏆

Regarding Gasly's zero damage cost in 2024 - did he really have zero damage after he and Ocon came together at the entrance to the Monaco tunnel?

Well done to the Mclaren team, thoroughly deserved. Lando seems to have learnt quite a deal from Max this year on and off the track. I believe he will be the favorite for the Championship next year.

The drivers that I personally thought stood out in 2024

Max - Just amazing to watch this guy do what he does, and he is entertaining af. If RB gives him a good car, he should be right in the fight for a 5th.
Lando - for 3/4 of the year he was a whiny little biatch. Towards the end, he seems to have grown up. Should be favorite for 2025 Champ run.
Oscar - Also seems to have grown a lot. Still off the pace of Lando a bit. Excited to see how strong he will be next year.
Gasly - Just driving very well. No issues, the whole year. In a better team, I think he would have gotten a few victories.
Le Clerc - Seems to have learnt how to drive a full race instead of just one lap speed in Quali. I think he will be Lando's biggest rival in 2025.

Duds for 2024
Checo
Stroll

Abu Dhabi 2024 was actually a good race.
I really enjoyed watching LeClerc and HAM work though the field.

anyone who says HAM is not a threat to a title next year because he is too old is blind.

it is going to be a very intersting 2025 season and I am really looking forward to it.

the little comment by Oscar after the contact on lap 1 was brilliant and my highlight of the race.

Congrats to McLaren. years of hard work finally paying off. well done to Zak Brown his vision paid off.

I am hoping 2025 is competitive between multiple teams.

lets get 6 different winners in the first 6 races.

the radio message from colepinto as the formation lap started was very emotional.
sad so see Bottas gone, yet we still have Stroll and Perez on the grid.

I remember his engine also gave up on him in one race, but he really didn't have any crash damage even though Ocon bounced off a tyre.

that point scoring percentage just confirms what we all know.

Ferrai, Mclaren, and Mecedes has the most balanced teams.
Perez, Stroll should not have their seats, and both of those teams would do better if those two drivers were not in those seats

Franco contributed more to Williams total percentage-wise than Sergio did to Red Bull.
Franco didn't even race half a season.
