Yes, I see so. Dave asked me the other day about that, I knew nothing of it then.

Why not, a big sponsor may just be the thing to fix our issues.

It would be a new owner rather than sponsor if it's an acquisition, joking aside it would probably be good for McLaren (and ultimately good for F1) as Apple is a company that tells how it's going to happen rather than just ask and has the financial muscle and willingness to litigate to make it happen. Probably the nightmare scenario for Bernie.

I am a Mclaren fan and an Apple hater, if apple buys McLaren my head will probably explode :(

I guess I will have to follow Hamilton and the Mercedes part of Mclaren-Mercedes if that happens.

Just when I had sold my Merc and bought a Honda too......

Because Apple's eagerness to litigate has helped foster positive relationships in the industries in which it operates? And a lot of that is pure BS with the sole intention of destroying competition in the court room.

Now that you put it that way they should be considering Ferrari not Mclaren :>)

Well Mclaren F1 =! McLaren automotive. Wasn't Macca building their own engine according to Ron some time back?

Seems we can all breathe easy (for now). This thread suggests that talks are not happening.

It's seems like no one believes McLaren's denial, especially the short and cleverly worded way that the denial doesn't mention acquisition.

"We can confirm that McLaren is not in discussion with Apple in respect of any potential investment"

Well the whole 'where there's smoke, there's fire' metaphor did come to mind. My only concern is assuming Apple do take over McLaren, will they build a car that has no fuel nozzle receptacle?

No screws to replace the wheels either. Might just as well limit the user to the petrol pedal and brake pedal while at it, after all, don't want unnecessary gear and mode changes?

But the driver will be like Button - who cares when you have 1x WC... and did I mention how sexy I look in this thing? Smiles and waves to the crowd :D
