I expected Hamilton would be world champion, but I didn't expect it would be that close. I still want to see a replay of that pass. It is hard to believe that Glock with dry tires on a drying track suddenly lost traction in the final corner (on the dry racing line), almost bringing him to a standstill, and finishing 5 seconds after Hamilton.

I have nothing against Hamilton and he does deserve the title (he did last season as well), but this is not the way to get it.

Anyone notice how the ITV commentators are quick to point out anyone who disadvantages Hamilton, but when Hamilton is given the championship like this, they don't mention anything.

I wonder if the FIA (Ferrari International Association) is going to investigate this.

It was raining on the final lap but to lose 18seconds on the final corner!

but alas /me waits for next season when vettel and alonso join ferrari (i hope)

Yoh I was pissed off when Glock let him through (thats what he did) he was ahead of hamilton for 2 laps, and all of a sudden in the last corner he loses 11 seconds?

Meh.

Massa is a true gentleman though, I doubt Hamilton would have been as gracious if he was in that position..

It was raining heavily at the end and he was on full slicks. What exactly did you expect?

The other drivers on slicks were even slower on the final lap.

You cant lose 18 seconds on slicks, 5 seconds easily but not 18.

The tin hat guys come out to play. :p

But to fuel the fire, Glock and Hamilton are apparantly good buddies from GP2 days. And no the dry line had disappeared by the last couple of corners, and Glock's pace was dropping by like 2-4 secs in the last couple of laps. I can imagine those slicks must have been undrivable by then.

If the FIA chooses to investigate it, they will have a hard time explaining why the Ferrari swap around was NOT investigated. B

But really, Glock would not just give up his points JUST like that. And I don't even think that it would have been team orders, becuase Toyota is usually in the Ferrari camp of doing things as far as FIA/Team relations are concerned. So you tell me, is he going to risk his job for Hamilton? Anything is possible, however IMO, it is highly unlikely.

I was elated when Vettel got past Hamilton! I could see Allan & Martin's faces drop!! It was the best moment of the whole season......

But then Glock let Hamilton through and the rest is history. Hamilton did have his moments this season, but was it not for Massa's engine failure in Hungary, it would've been a different story.

Hamilton's performance of yesterday was lack luster and not the kind of performance you would expect of someone that is fighting for the title. Yes you want to stay out of trouble, but to almost throw away the championship like that........... Lady luck was definitely on Hamilton's side yesterday.

I think the FIA should stay out of this because racing is racing and that's it. There needs to be some consistency in F1, and everytime the FIA gets involved they conradict themselves.

Massa was my driver of the season for sure, and he is a true gentleman. I am sure that he's gonna race his heart out next season (as if he didn't this season) and take the world championship before they get to Brazil. He deserves it. Forza Felipe!!

I suppose you are right. If drivers decide to let someone past them, it is their choice and should not be punished for it.

Massa deserved the title as much as Hamilton did. A faulty fuel rig and blown engine for Massa in the latter part of the season as well as lady luck for Hamilton certainly paved the way for Hamilton to be champ. Like last year, Kimi won it, the rest is history and that is that.
Truth be said, had Hamilton lost it, he would have only had himself to blame and would hold the world's title as primo choker. It's ironic how close that is to title of world champ!

Why is Brazil last on the calender? Its always a bad track, especially when it rains, those rivers breaks its banks and floods the track...

Glock had driven on those tyres for quite a while so they were worn anyway and then add the damp track and he would have had no grip going uphill on the final corners. Watch it again, he doesn't just let hamilton go past and then speed up, he actually drops back even further. Why are so many of you so against hamilton?

...and why not? What exactly happened to make you think he did not deserve it. Hamilton's race strategy, tyre choice beat that of Glock's, case closed. Seriously, move on.
