Lines wre stable for 6 months, but n the last 2 weeks it goes down and up at random times. (off for 3 days, on for 1 day)
And it is not just ADSL, the line goes dead completely. Very frustrating.
And it takes them ages to respond to faults. Fault logged Monday morning, it is now Friday afternoon, and no call from the technician.

I'm in the same area, experiencing the same problems. But there is hope. Have you not seen them laying fibre down, and the new MSAN on the corner of Southy by the Pick N Pay?

Great, thanks man. Not have not seen it, but lets hope that is great news and that it does not take too long to solve this.

The exchange is heavily congested and I believe they're upgrading the exchange itself, which might involve putting even more people on the same "pipe". I dunno how it works, but yes, the connectivity has been terrible of late. Let's hope the new MSAN goes live soon...
