Read their social media pages. They publish statements about cases that may be of public interest. However, if there are pictures of the accused, they block their faces.

I do that all the time. I used to post them on MyBB until the English got so bad that it became an embarrassment.

Don't forget the NPA is not rhe Judiciary. The judiciary won't release a statement like this while the case is still before the courts.

They NPA did:

According to Mpumalanga National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Monica Nyuswa, the man lived on the same property as the children.

She said the children were playing with corn from his farm when Grobler allegedly drove over them. Nyuswa added one of their parents used to work for the friend of the accused in the same farm. Grobler made his first court appearance on Monday.

Is that sub judice? Should suspicions of a case be commented on by the NPA before a court has found them to be of substance or not? I haven't seen any suspicions around big boy politicians having been commented on by the NPA yet?
They do. Watch eNews or SABC.

This is the NPA.

I watch SABC2 and eNuus every night to see what propaganda is being shown. Anything like that is rare. It's composed of shared visuals between the two, an almost similar format and covers local news mainly about inane subjects with crying people. You only get 10 minutes of actual news too.

Not that I read; there are lots of "allegedly" in the N24 report, nothing about "established". Maybe provide a reference.
There appears to be no witnesses other than statements from the farmer and the kids. There's no footage or any corroborating evidence for either side. Of course the investigators will establish something but that will be scrutinised by the state and the defence. You and I have no idea what happened.

We Def have no idea what happened, but balance of probabilities paints a very different picture to the original story and would more closely match the farmers story really...

Possible. I just don't want to speculate.

Hence my comment. The "established" is not accurate and "alleged" is all it is; at this time of course.

Possibly statement as obtained from the kids and submitted to the NPA. It's also claimed in the same article that the kids "appeared out of nowhere.

Exactly why the NPA should not be commenting on court cases until the judiciary has spoken.

Judiciary should never comment on cases. NPA don't make judgements. They pretty much do what defence lawyers do, but argue for the state.

NPA accounts to the executive branch of government. Judiciary are a branch of government, with the CJ at the helm.

Correct - In court. Not in the media.

Mate, a crime was committed. He ran over children with his car. Whether you feel that way is immaterial. The courts will establish facts and rule accordingly. If it was a genuine mistake, then he'll be tried for something less severe.

Your self pity serves no purpose to the case.

A suggestion: that's for the court to decide, if a crime was committed, or if it was an accident. Innocent until proven guilty. Yet have already decided?

Already the whole thing is being racialized and politicized. Once that happens, any possibility of real justice leaves to be replaced by bush justice. Already we see the NPA claiming, as a statement of fact, the kids were playing.

Tell us more...

Why do you feel that way? Give examples where a black murderer was acquitted despite glaring evidence against them.
Are we talking about murder or something less. Also, no need to acquit if we don't even investigate and arrest. Or will you try deny that as well? Have you already forgotten tensions that led to an overturned police van that self-combusted, investigations that never happened?

And yes, Coligny is an excellent example. Have you learnt nothing from the Coka brothers incident either?

In fact, considering what has come out, why is this guy not out on bail?

Just Friday evening, a victim was laughed at in Rawsonville by Minsister Shurrup's finest, chased away. Of course, nothing can happen in South Africa if you don't have a case number, a CAS. The victims had to drive all the way though to Worcester the Saturday. This is a regular occurrence.

Atm, the first step in initializing and prioritizing a case depends on the melanin of the claimed perp vs the claimed victim. If the claimed perp is a pale male farmer, bonus points, the priority goes up by an order of magnitude. Much like our BEE/AA charts, and it's driven by political cretins in power.
