Most powerful electric cars in South Africa

South African speed fiends have several powerful electric cars from which to choose, provided they have upwards of R1.5 million to spend.

MyBroadband looked for the most powerful electric vehicles (EVs) you can buy in South Africa to satisfy motorists' adrenalin needs.

This article is as useful as a fastest Bakkie article.

Bakkies we want power and load carrying ability.

EVs we only care about range (although most EV drivers never leave their rooms).

Is it just me or does it look like they put Hamilton in here after the fact?

Scale just seems way off.

Hi Myles,
Although I like all the cars shown, I regret the absence of some more economic cars that cost much less and are as powerful if not more powerful than some listed.
The Volvo EX30 with 995k price tag beats for instance the BMW i5 M60 xDrive, the Porsche Taycan 4S, the Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and the BMW i7 xDrive60.
Nice to boast German engineering, but at the end of the day, how many can afford these cars in SA.
I admit I am a Volvo fan.
Just a thought.

Article isn’t about most powerful but rather the fastest.

And 0-100 doesn’t make it fast.

A Taycan will murder the Volvo on a track and that’s what makes it faster. Likely so will the BMW.

But yes a “power per rand” comparison would be a nice addition.
