I have taken a contract with Telkom Mobile two weeks ago. The battery only lasts 5 minutes and the phone heats up. I missed the 7 day window period to return the phone, as I purchased it a week earlier to give to my husband as a birthday gift. Upon going to Telkom on the 8th day - they informed me that the 7 day window period was up and that the phone needs to be sent to Samsung for evaluation. I sent it to Samsung and they replaced the motherboard. Two days later the same thing happens - the phone dies within 5 minutes and heats up, and in addition, the screen display isnt working properly now. I have gone back to Telkom to complain and they insist that the phone can not be replaced but only repaired. How can I be paying for a contract with a phone which does not work? Its a latent defect!!!! In addition, the Telkom Galleria store never answers their telephone, apparently the manager says she is the only one there able to answer the phone and she is always busy with customers, so she just doesnt answer the phone- I dont understand how you cant get hold of a person when Telkom is in telecommunications provider. Aweful experience and no resolution yet!!!!
