@greg0205 Any idea when the Department of Justice will hand over the supporting affidavit? That will be much more illuminating after all.

The truly worrying part of these "nuclear codes" is that it might yield another soda for him...

No idea.

It's part of an ongoing investigation and outlines what's being investigated as well as how they're gathering information, so not anytime before, I presume, someone if formally charged.

Since the warrant was already executed the affidavit can be released. Doubt it influences an active investigation. I see some from the House Intelligence Committee have asked for it.
Given how much of a powerkeg this situation is, it would be an easy way to allay some fears

Affidavits for warrants are typically sworn to by federal agents and are used to persuade judges that it is worth invading someone’s privacy to collect proof of violations of the law. The affidavit supporting the search warrant for Mr. Trump’s home and members-only club presumably contains things like the specific laws that the government believes were broken and a brief narrative of the inquiry into Mr. Trump’s storage of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

It also likely includes a recitation of other methods — like grand jury subpoenas — that the government sought to use to retrieve the documents in an effort to persuade the judge that the search warrant was necessary.

Search warrant affidavits are almost never made public before charges and often remain permanently under seal if charges are never filed. However, once prosecutors open a criminal case, any warrant affidavits used during the inquiry will generally be turned over to the defense — though not in a public manner — as part of the discovery process.

"are almost never made public before charges" is the key part here.
The stakes involved in this may warrant that rare exception.

While the FBI might work over weekends those that will push for such a release most certainly don't. So I guess we'll see what happens Monday.

I get the public interest, and I suspect we will see the affidavit... but, again, not before formal charges.

Never, we love you. By the end of the year you'll be able to qualify for the women's freestyle.

It took five hours and that was the best you could come up with?

Maybe PM your tribe next time, you know, so y’all can workshop a great comeback burn together.

They began phased implementation last year. I think federal agents were not required to wear them before that. Whether the implementation has covered the entirely of the country...I don't know.
So they should not fear doxxing.
Or are body cams doxxing ?

It possibly depends on the case. Politically exposed cases would most probably be treated differently from cases involving normal civilians.
If all they are doing is their job.
As trained and within law.
Then they should fear nothing.

Also they would have to be an enforcement agency.

Just reworking the one script, huh, Defo?

Guess it saves time having pre-translated throw-away quips available, but you really should add a few more options.

Hey, if the Kremlin pay overtime it might be worth your while financially too.

Ever had a fallout with a powerful colleague who's multiple levels above you?

You can't take out the human element. Let me take you to a country you're more familiar with. Россия. What happens to people who piss off the chief?
