The closest that Trump and his supporters have come to tying the documents at Mar-a-Lago to an official declassification decision has been to link them to a memorandum declassifying various documents related to the Russiagate scandal that Trump issued on Jan. 19, 2021, just before he left office. But that directive is quite explicit that it applies only to materials within a single “binder of materials” that had been provided to the White House as part of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation—not the multiple boxes of classified information removed from Mar-a-Lago, which reportedly cover a much broader range of topics.

And where did I say he declassified everything? I said he actively tried to declassify the operation, as proven by articles at the time.
Certain aspects won't be declassified no matter what, usually those pertaining to the human intelligence involved. So if he had had those documents at home they'll still be classified.
This is why some people say this is the most likely scenario, not nuclear launch codes nor top secret spy lists being provided to Russia that some nutter here seem to believe.

Former President Donald Trump slammed the Department of Justice following the agency's opposition to his request for a "special master" to review documents seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate, claiming he had already "declassified" the materials.

In the 40-page response filed Tuesday, the Justice Department opposed the appointment of a special master to review documents seized from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, saying he "lacks standing" because the records in question belong to the United States, not him. In addition, the DOJ's filing said documents were likely "concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation."

In a flurry of Truth Social posts Wednesday morning, Trump said it was "terrible" that the FBI "during the Raid of Mar-a-Lago, threw documents haphazardly all over the floor (perhaps pretending it was me that did it!), and then started taking pictures of them for the public to see. Thought they wanted them kept Secret? Lucky I Declassified!"
