There's no way around it: The deaths of seven high-ranking Russian diplomats in nine months (and not one after a prolonged illness) play into conspiracy theories and one of America's favorite tropes, the Russian hit job.

With yet another announced Wednesday, the list grows, and the head-scratching intensifies. That Russia's ambassador to Sudan was found floating in his swimming pool adds to the intrigue, but on further investigation, as with many of the other deaths, it could just as well point the opposite way. Are we confusing coincidence with conspiracy?

Folder marked ‘classified’ apparently on display at Trump 45-themed bar

Tucked in the lobby of Manhattan’s Trump Tower is a bar called 45 Wine and Whiskey. At this Hard Rock Cafe knockoff, visitors can enjoy walls plastered with Trump presidential memorabilia that was likely snuck out of the White House—including a folder marked “classified.”
If Mussolini had a bar, it would be like this...

That they're distinct processes of Congress.

One in the House and one in the Senate.

You can't get tried in the Senate without being impeached in the House first.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

And? So what? He didn't get removed. Was is it good for your feels?

Bill Barr's redemption tour continues

Former Attorney General William Barr appeared on Fox News on Friday to say there is no "legitimate reason" for classified documents to have been at Mar-a-Lago and cast doubt in the idea that they had somehow been declassified.
"No. I can't think of a legitimate reason why they should have been -- could be taken out of government, away from the government if they are classified," Barr said of the documents found at former President Donald Trump's Florida resort.
"I, frankly, am skeptical of the claim that [Trump] declassified everything," Barr added.

"Because frankly, I think it's highly improbable, and second, if in fact he sort of stood over scores of boxes, not really knowing what was in them and said 'I hereby declassify everything in here,' that would be such an abuse and that shows such recklessness, it's almost worse than taking the documents," he said.

Because we've all forgotten how he blocked the release of the full Mueller investigation.

I suppose it felt like a much longer version of the momentary sugar rush you get when you finally manage fold reality into a fiction that soothes your cognitive dissonance.

Oh? Tell me more. Do you do that often? Does it not bother you that you're only fooling yourself or is the cognitive dissonance so strong it doesn't matter?

Programming you must have been easy.

Nice reaction.

I'll bet you have a whole bunch just like it that you've gathered over the years all lined up.

Let's see.
Sure.

In 233 years there have been 46 US presidents, and until your golden calf slimed his way behind the Resolute Desk, impeachment of a sitting potus was so rare that it happened only twice.

Twice.

In 233 years.

You can argue and deny all you like, but impeachment is absolutely notable.

Twice impeached even more so.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

That is a pretty poor record considering that just about all of them were rotten to the core. If they had looked deeper into all of them I am confident they would have done much better.

But I'm glad TED talks are free on the internet because I wouldn't have paid to attend this one. Unless, of course, it was to heckle you just to see your reaction. That would likely be priceless.

So you agree Trump is rotten to the core?

Aah, the stock 'whatabout everyone else' synonymous with all toadies ever.

0/10 for originality which bodes ill for your solipsistic heckling prowess bumping into actual reality, HA.

First he'll be called a Never Trumper, get a personalized demeaning nick name, then be threatened to be killed.

Just like Hitler who murdered more of his own elite than were send to the gallows by the Nuremberg Trials.
