Nah, she was involved with selling naked pics of her child online. This is how they identified her. This is how they monitored her and subsequently obtained a court order to entrap her. She deserved it. Hope she rots in jail.

Why not sell naked pics of herself? Why use her child?

It's disgusting no matter how desperate they may be.
Ye, it seems riskier... but I think she thought should get more money ?

I wonder if she thought this was a victimless crime ? Like she wasn't hurting anyone. Or was she just completely Tiked out and desperate ?

Feels like a lot of effort and planning.

If you can get onto the dark web, setup a paypal account and market your child, you have marketable skills.
Yes, its actually quite involved. Possibly someone got her setup though.

I knew the dark web was full of Pedo's looking for kids but I didn't realise there are parent actively marketing kids.

It's terrible, in fact it's near impossible to not run cross child porn on the darkweb when visiting a site. There are ads for kids that are no different to the ads displayed on piratebay

How fked does your mind have to be tho that your first instinct for making money is to exploit your child
What makes you think it was a first instinct?
Its really easy to assume a bunch of stuff about someone you know nothing about.
Sure she could be a useless POS and she did it just to make a quick buck, but she could also have been on the bones of her ass.

There was no court order. HSI provided law enforcement with intelligence. The FBI attaché who is stationed in SA then worked with law enforcement, which he does daily, to apprehend her.

They very easily tracked her with geotagging because shes a moron.

Regardless of the situation, selling your kids pics online makes you a POS.

Why not do anything ELSE apart from posting nudes of your child online?
Yeah this is really disgusting. I have been dirt poor, as in went to bed hungry, but never would I have been able to do something like this.

Interestingly the girlfriend of the guy that does my IT work was dirt poor, lived in a white squatter camp here in Cape Town. She ended up live streaming her toilet activities and menstruation cycles. Apparently there is quite a market for it, especially in Europe. Ended making somewhere in the region of R20k pm. On top of that, although this might seem horrible to us, she is not ashamed as she did what she had to do. That money paid for her engineering degree and a deposit on the apartment she now lives in.

That's what made me think of entrapment. I can't believe a mother would come up with this idea and promote it. Well I can believe it, I just don't want to! Makes more sense to me that someone made an offer to her

There is a market for so many things, I know a couple of people with onlyfans pages and they are all doing fairly well despite it being a part time thing. Despite it being a criminal offense, there are so many ethical things wrong with it - how many hands is her child's photos going to end up in? She might even be on the next ad shoved in someone's face online.

Sounds like it could be entrapment to me, given that an agent from homeland security actually paid her via PayPal to get the pictures.
No, this is how they do it.

Agents will purchase media to get the arrest.

Fascinating podcast on how the FBI took down an entire network of Pedo's by taking over and running a child abuse website.

Ethical yeas but she also put her own child at risk as the wrong person might pursue her after getting access to the pics.
