Reading through the change log, sounds as if you will have to learn how to do everyday simple tasks from scrath again!

I've been test driving the F15 alpha/beta versions since January, switching to F14 for work purposes and although Gnome 3 is "different" it's not as unwieldy as Unity and I am pretty comfortable with it now.

Three hints to make the transition a little easier:

1) Install the Avant Window Manager from the package manager.

2) Install Fedora Plus (previously autoten) to assist with missing codecs, flash plugin etc http://www.dnmouse.org/autoten/fedoraplus-autoten.html

3) Read the following article for a rough guide on creating a new program launcher to add shortcuts to the applications screen http://bloggezmoy.com/?p=449 (it's advice from a ArchLinux user but the basics are covered).

BTW: I think both Unity & Gnome 3 are best suited for large16:9 displays ( > 21"), my experience with both on a 20" 4:3 Acer LCD was not good to say the least.

Been running Fedora 15 with Gnome 3 on my work laptop for a couple days now. It took some getting used to, from Gnome 2, but I am now well settled. Once you get over that first hurdle of just working with it, it becomes quite intuitive. I find starting apps from the GUI much quicker now, using the search instead of navigating through the menus to get going. :)

I installed it this afternoon it rocks! I haven't used anything but Ubuntu till now but I'm loving it so far :)

Gnome3 blows Ubuntu's Unity away!

Also been using it for a while now. You get used to the Gnome 3 interface very quickly - it does make sense. I agree with MickZA that both Unity and Gnome 3 are better on big monitors, and even more so they are better suited to wide screen type monitors. I tried Gnome 3 on a netbook and it is still usable however. Unity on the same netbook did not work out all that well.

+1 on the suggestion to use Fedora Plus, this makes setting up a lot easier. I see easyLife is also available for F15 now, has anyone given this latest version a try?
