If you already have windows can you resize your Windows XP NTFS partition with the Linux Fedora 5 setup?

I would think FC5 can do that, the application you are looking for though is QTParted.

this comes on Knoppix BootCD's, and works a dream. Just make sure when you create various partitions, you create Primary Masters for all, then partition tools like this works wonders - if extended partitions exsist, you will encounter problems.

Hey, just last night I went and put fedora core 5 on one of my main pc's.

Before you go and do something stupid, go to your nearest freedom toaster, and get MANDRIVA. I'm on my way now.

Microsoft never documented the NTFS disk format fully (far more complex than the simple DOS FAT32) except to those companies that made disk utilities and signed a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement).

There is a NTFS filesystem in Linux but it is very buggy and might destroy your NTFS partition hence most distro's don't ship with it.
