Fibre being laid, any contacts at Telkom who can confirm why?

Telkom is laying fibre down my road, first time we see fibre in our suburb, but not sure if that means we're getting fibre.
Does anyone have a contact we can ask to find out if it's going to be for fibre to the home or if they just using my road as a thoroughfare?

Your best bet is to check Telkom's coverage map - http://www.telkom.co.za/coverage and see if your region is marked as light pink or not. If it's light pink then, congrats, you're earmarked to get fibre in the near future. If not, don't stress, not to say it isn't for FTTH, as the map could be outdated, but generally isn't

Also, remember there are a number of companies installing fibre (of which telkom actually isn't one), so be sure to have a look on the correct coverage map.
