Please help us three people from Rosettenville to sign up for the
fibre

You can check https://fibretiger.co.za/ to see if your area is covered and maybe try and find out if they know which company is covering your area. You can maybe try and garner enough support in your community and express interest once you know which company is doing your area.

As far as I know it appears the various companies have either been "allocated" certain areas in which they will lay down fibre or have somehow "decided" in which areas they will deploy fibre. The process may not be very transparent at the moment. Maybe someone with more definitive knowledge can provide more information.

Vumatel has successfully rolled out several house installations in our area, most of the guys i know signed up with Cool Ideas or Rocket - so far so good, everyone is quite happy with their speeds and installation quality.

My place is scheduled for Tuesday - hoping they keep the appointment as large parts of Ridgeway ADSL has been dead since 28th March (copper theft)

BRACKEN FIBRE UPDATE:
This is an indication of the network that SADV (SA Digital Villages) have acquired from Motheo Construction and will be lighting up in the near Future. We will provide timelines ASAP. But if you fall inside that area, please visit www.signup4fibre.co.za and log your interest in the meantime so that they can contact you. This will be an OPEN ACCESS network, meaning that you will be able to use any of ther 20 ISPs available on their network. NOTE: The map is not final and will likely still be updated further. Please do not ask me if your street is included or not as I don't have that detailed info yet.
⚠ Thanks ⚠

Still waiting on something concrete for Alberante :(

Vuma has gone quiet, Seacom seems to have canned their project. Someone is busy though, tons of markings on the roads where work is supposed to be done.

If I may ask what area in Ridgeway are you?

I have waited so long now and had to go 4G due to Telkom connectivity problems. I asked some Vumatel technicians a week ago re Ridgeway area and they indicated "a month maybe two i.e. maybe April or May. I see they are busy in Robertsham with splicing on Shakespeare avenue and in Winchester (at Pick n Pay corner) they were still getting orange and black fibre into the ground.

I'm on Donavon Street, - new homes are getting lit up everyday. Yesterday my moms place on Brietta street, earlier today another 2 residents confirmed their installation.

Hi there,

so I signed up for the promotion from Cool Ideas that they are running on the Openserve network. I stay in Brackenhurst, Alberton and everything seems to be running 100%. I know we are supposed to have Vodacom access as well but when I select my area on VC site only Openserve comes up as a supplier.

Has anyone else signed up for VC or Cool Ideas yet? What do you think about the service?

Also, does anyone have any update on SADV progress?

Like to hear your thoughts

On the SADV coverage map, my street is blue.
What does "SADV On Net subject to feasibility" mean?

DFA had installed fibre lines running pass my house last year, but they said its for business lines only.

It means we will look at your address and if you are a free standing home or a complex implement one of two different feasibility processes.
