I've no idea where in Rondebosch an official notice on p17 of yesterday's Tatler (local freebie paper) refers to.
Excerpts:
"The City of Cape Town notes that aerial infrastructure for optic fibre has been illegally installed on overhead electricity reticulation infrastructure. This installation is an encroachment on City infrastructure and has been done without wayleaves and construction permits etc etc ... compromises the structural integrity of the existing electricity infrastructure but is also untidy and unsightly.
Notice is hereby issued that unless the illegally installed aerial infrastructure for optic fibre is removed within 14 days of publication of this notice, the City will have no option but to remove the offending infrastructure and recover costs for this removal from the offending party."

I reckon the chances of said "offending party" fibre installer reading the Tatler are probably slim, so some Rondebosch residents or businesses could find their fibre connection disrupted.
