Hi All!

I hope you can assist.

I need to install fibre in my new flat next month. There are great options on the web (RSA Web, Vanilla, Octotel, etc...), but I would like to find out who offers best service at a good price. We would prefer uncapped with 20-30 mbs speed. We don't have a line and would like to keep it that way.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

First, is your building/block live for fibre?
You've likely got Octotel or Telkom Fibre.
First check with the managing agents or body corporate which provider is available.
Then check out the ISP's site for their deals.

Hey bud, whatever you do steer clear of WebAfrica; their customer support is very very poor!
After wasting many hours on the phone with their supposed techies + numerous support tickets simply having been deleted, i was left with no alternative but to cancel my Webafrica account.
Unfortunately they are no longer the company they once were - save yourself the grey hairs and pick anybody but WebAfrica...

There is a Sea Point/Fresnaye FTTH thread somewhere around here - recommend doing a search. A few folks have asked the same questions for the same area, so checking it out/posting there will probably yield the best returns.

It's a pity to hear of WA's missteps with fibre, since I was such a fan of their DSL product/customer service in years gone by.

How do you expect to get fibre without having a line?
