Buy a package that will suit your requirements.
There's a product to suit your requirements.Perhaps for a simple minded person; god knows we try but you lot keep us in the dark ages.

Use it.
Maybe 384kbps to make it feel like the good ol' days ?Well the bad news, it is not 2Mbps when capped, I am getting 300-400 kbps.
At midnight the cap reset for the new month. hello 20Mbps![]()

Welcome to the Waiting Game!
Out of interest, which ISP did you opt for ?
You mean a regional VoIP number, or a real analogue voice line ?
If you mean the latter (which I doubt), that would just be a normal analogue voice line from Telkom at R166.50 pm + call fees. No connection (physical or accounting) to your fibre service at all.

That's interesting - I didn't/don't know of such an option. I'd seen the "unlimited fixed-line calls" add-on for Telkom's fibre deals, but I'd assumed that that referred to having a good old analogue line in parallel.Kind of was looking to have to Telkom line moved over to the fibre and just plug it into the CPE. Currently paying the R185pm but know Telkom fibre people don't have to pay this to have a voice line through their fibre.
SwitchTel can certainly do that (port your old number) - R150 a pop. They also sell analogue phone adapters for the case where your fibre endpoint device(s) don't have analogue phone ports. The VOIP solutions seem more affordable but going to have to look through the ones that allow me to keep my number.

Extras you've added:
Unlimited Calls to Telkom Fixed Line & CallCatcher at R200pm
