I was also able to place an order with Axxess now, even though it is still light purple. Let's see...

EDIT: They have this message on their site:

Axxess will just be a pre order so they will phone you 1st supposedly when it’s live.

Same scenario here Fibre on poles but not live and everyone just repeats what maps say, even tried Openserve call centre.. they couldn’t care less... African Time...

Hi everyone,

Check the openserve website, more areas in Centurion just went live!

Yup, was told that part of Erasmia (Ansaar Estates) went live on Friday, there are a few technical issues that Openserve is attending to.

I hope the rest of Erasmia, Christoburg and Laudium gets the green light in the next week or three.

EDIT: Site is too damn s....l....o....w....

Is there anyone here that has some insider information about when parts of Centurion might come online. We've just had cables stolen and we'll be sitting another month without any connectivity while they replace the cables. Can someone help me understand why, after testing the fibre lines, have they not gone live?

We have a WhatsApp group here in Erasmia and have the Project lead on. Currently pushing to have Erasmia, Christoburg and Laudium brought online. As always, the more affluent has been prioritized, Claudius and Ansaar Estate (in Erasmia) has been brought online in the last two weeks.

Would this project lead by any chance be in charge of Weirda Park/Eldoraigne/Zwartkops?

I can always ask and I did. Posted this thread link to him.

Edit: His reply?

If you would like to move lines between service providers, ex from axxess to vox or whatever.
Is it true that you need to cancel your current line first, then only can the new isp place an order with openserve.
Then you again wait 4 to 6 weeks for installation.(Which in effect is already installed)
Apparently openserve does not have the functionality yet to simply move a line.
Sound like a typical telkom thing yet again

Did anyone get any feedback RE timelines?

Heard a rumor that Telkom are not happy with the finishing work in some of the complexes and are not giving the green light because of this. Tests on the fibre were all completed. So I'm not sure where to from here. Guess more frustration and waiting

Our Openserve contact posted 18 screenshots full of issues and proposed solutions for the Erasmia/Christoburg roll out. Most are issues from the previous contractor where they have improperly sealed the fibre, installed the wrong boxes and even missed planting a new pole.

I am so frustrated with them. But with only Telkom in the area, we have no choice unless we go wireless.

Could be a similar issue in Centurion too. DSL is fine for now. Getting decent speeds on my line. But Fibre man.

Elarduspark as well last I heard there is also an ongoing dispute between Telkom/Openserve and the Contractors/Huawei with regards to installation methods etc. meanwhile we just hurry up and await, luckily **touch wood** can't complain about the ADSL 10 mbps has been rock solid.
