1. Fibre is just light travelling through the fibres? y/n (Like there is no electricity in the lines??) (No stealing of copper etc)
2. If no electricity it can not get damaged from lightning? Y/n The router is obviously sensitive to lightning strikes?
3. So thunder and bad weather will not perse affect the signal? (Like DSTV ??)
4. Will 5g be affected by lightning/bad weather?
5. Do wi-fi signals affect animals eg. hamsters and cats?

Sorry I am not IT orientated. Also not an electrician or an installer of any kind.

1. No value in stolen fibre cables. But doesn’t mean thieves are smart enough to know the difference. That said, fibre cable theft is almost non existent.

2.No lightning issues. Power surges can still knock out a router.

3. No weather effects on connectivity

4. Depends on the frequencies used. But like everything wireless, enough rain between A and B and you’ll have a problem.

5. Nope.
