Fibre vs LTE - The option that saves you money

Webafrica recently launched an uncapped LTE service, offering users a wireless alternative to the uncapped offerings provided by fibre and DSL ISPs.

Webafrica had already launched capped Telkom fixed-LTE packages on a month-to-month basis, but the uncapped offering provides another option to users who consume a lot of data and don't have access to a fibre connection.

Let us wait for Rain to introduce new price plans, i expect Rain to offer fixed 5G plans that cost way below R5 per GB in bundle rate

If u have no fibre in the area, LTE is a viable option. Althoug WISP is much better than LTE instead, especially for online gaming

So this is throttled to 10mbps from the start and just gets worse the more you use it?

Feck that, I'll stick with Rain. It may be flaky but I still get better speeds for far less money (even factoring in the xtra I pay during the peak period).

Webafrica... Flakier than a leper colony on a windy day...

Had to cancel my LTE after 3 months.

What package are you on? I went with Rain uncapped and then I have a capped 25GB package for gaming when my family is on the other line.
