Fibre - what hardware do i need? Advice on Telkom 799 p/m x24

Hi, can anyone advise me. I have fibre in my area now and toggling between signing a 24 month contract with Telkom ( get installation for free together with all hardware - or do i go ahead and buy my own hardware and go month to month.

I was told i will need a Wireless Fibre router, a converter and termination box? isnt more cost effective if i purchase these items myself? R799 per month for 10mbps is a good deal, but prefer month to month.

any advice?

I got my installation & router for free with no contract. the zyxel sbg3300-n router they gave me is pretty expensive and does the job.

I don't think that's free anymore, having ended last month.

Usually router will come free. Month to month is best.
On a router side I ended up buying the Archer D7 and I use it on a 25/25 service.
