My complex and I are at our wit's end, and are running out of options regarding getting Fibrehoods' nonsense sorted out.
Firstly, Britelink rocked up on the 24th of May to install our ONT devices, which they did, and were very surprised and confused to find there was no fibre in the complex to splice to yet, obviously. How they managed to put the cart in front of the horse this badly still baffles me.
Anyway, over the following month or so, painfully slowly, they installed the actual fibre lines throughout our complex (including at least one major redo after someone came to inspect the work that was done), and supposedly it's all been done and ready.
After waiting patiently for something to happen after that, we began trying to contact Fibrehoods. By trial and error we have been able to gather email addresses of some of their staff, and have been trying to find out what's happening. For the past month we've been told there are problems and they promise they're going to send someone around to fix things, inspect the ONTs (they thought at one point that magically somehow every ONT installed was faulty), do a "final sweep", and whatever else.
On an almost daily basis we get another promise about how it'll totally really absolutely definitely be fixed tomorrow for reals. Every day comes and goes with no change, and no feedback.
We've even received emails claiming "we can't afford to go back to Radiokop" - so what, you've come and "installed" your trash in our complex and in our houses, and will just leave it in a broken useless mess forever because you're off land-grabbing elsewhere now?
Aside from the rant above, does anyone have ANY suggestions which may help us move things along. Any contact details of anyone who's not a basic pleb, or anyone we can escalate our issues to.
Also, considering Fibrehoods have installed themselves in our area and complex, what are the chances of any other REAL fibre providers ever entering the area, or is it likely that Fibrehoods have claimed the area and everyone else will simply not bother?
