So what are your opinions on the demo?

From what I've played it feels very similar to 17, but passing is much faster. Visuals also slightly better on PS4.

Unsure if I'll spend the grand this year.. I'm going to download PES18 demo this weekend and go for the better one of the two.

Will buy it every year, the new broadcast package for leagues looks really well done. As for gameplay it is quite the same but they just tweaking the engine here and there so might be the same for quite some time. Definitely a graphics upgrade though.

If you prefer playing online, PES has a bad rep for online side of things (servers aren't the best). I'm also a sucker for FUT mode with all the licences.

FIFA servers are atrocious on PC. I've already pre ordered though..haven't played the demo.

Very similar to 17 but different. Crosses feel different. Speed is a little faster.

I pre ordered 18 with ebucks and got 40% off :D

FIFA servers are atrocious on PC.

I could only get 3 online games in total on FIFA 17 -- and I got it at launch. Tbf, I have a shyt 2 Mb/s WiMAX connect, but still! I'm skipping this one and probably the next couple editions. Too bad I don't have a credit card to buy it at CDKeys.

FIFA 13's servers have been the best I've had on PC. Most games were decent even though I had a 512 Kb/s burst connection.

I really enjoyed FIFA 17, bar The Journey. I even made a few YouTube career mode episodes! :p

Preordered FIFA 18 on PC a few days ago. Haven't not bought FIFA since FIFA 07 I think.

Weird. Never had an issue on PC myself. Although online doesn't interest me. After checking it out for a while I just went back to manager mode and playing friends occasionally.

Taking Blackpool from League 2 to a 4th place Premier League finish was my favourite career mode save on FIFA 17. I've never had to penny-pinch like that before.

After playing both Demo's PES 18 and Fifa 18 , Fifa wins regarding gameplay, PES a little too easy. However PES wins with commentary. Like seriously Martin Tyler saying the same smack since forever. The journey and updated career mode are winners for me. Conclusion : pre-ordered Fifa

Tried the demo this weekend. While it looks impressive, it still feels the same. I know it's only kiciking a ball around, how much different can you make it, right, but I played my FIFA 13 right afterwards and honestly didn't see the point to pay all that coin for a 5 years newer game that felt like little more than an update.

Last year the demo compared to the full game was almost like two different games imo

Also the journey and improved career mode might sell this game
