Is there a possibility to make a calculation of all the funds that were spent on MyADSL since its inception until now?
Also, is there a way to estimate the time that you and other moderators spend(t) on the site daily?
This site has grown into something quite substantial, and I am sure that a lot of time is devoted to it. The current situation, where we all have an avenue to voice our complaints and frustrations, and find very useful information, all for free, is noble and a great privilege. But a concern I have is that such a situation cannot be sustained indefinitely. I have seen too many noble projects drown, due to a lack of financial backing.
The site must have a lot of hits daily, and should be a much sought-after advertising spot, especially since the members come from a very specific target group. I think there is potential to create some funds for MyADSL through advertising.
There should also be an avenue through which members can contribute funds for the site, and for certain projects, if they wish to do so.
In my opinion, funds should be used, in a transparent way, for the following:
1) Launching of projects
2) Covering of running costs of the site.
3) Remuneration for Administrators/ Moderators for time spent on the site, according to some formula.
