Fire at Brakfontein 132/11kV Substation Disrupts Power in Tshwane, Restoration Efforts Underway

Tomorrow looking sketchy but from Thursday through the weekend it's looking like we may actually get a glimpse of our local star again.
There was a brief glimmer of hope today, not sure if we can trust predictions.

Looks like we get a good sunny day today. They cancelled my generator order so thats not coming to save the day.
That disappeared quickly :-(

That glimmer faded. Back down to 1020 watts on my side. Not great.
Yeah, had the pool running to try get rid of algae, stopped it now cause it's down to 900 :-( though I am in JHB. Still trying to reduce my CP usage as this month alone is almost the same as the entire March and we're only on the 8th.

Batteries are full, even got some cloud-edge charging at 109% of installed PV.
Can have a normal day for once.
Nicely done, we did have some nice cloudbursts but for short periods of time, I'm dipping into Eskom to actually charge as solar has now dropped to nothing

UPDATE: Residents of Region 4, Centurion and surrounding areas. Our EED team remains on site at Brakfontein Substation to restore power. What they’ve done so far is to remove and replace burned panels, cables and to reduce carbon inside the substation. The team is busy with final tests on one of the transformers.

The excavation on site is to connect the circuit via a T4 and to allow for the bypassing of burnt equipment. Some area connections seem to be close to readiness like Rooishuis North and Amberfield. The end is near. We apologise for the inconvenience

I hate this bitcx

So 5% per day for the last few days on average would mean I have to revise Thursday to Monday next week or split the difference to Saturday.

So I was running the washing machine of the generator. Now I don't know but washing machine specs in book says its is max 300watt.
But as the drum turn left and right the generator makes the same noise as the washing machine.
My LED light in kitchen was also flickering on the same beat as the washing machine and generator.
I switched everything else off but still the same.

What is the generator specs? Also might be that the generator is giving dirty power
My 300w when it goes on to spin cycle maxes out at just under 300w.
