firmware upgrading

ive checked the forums for all the topics regarding firmware and im still not 100% sure on whether to upgrade or not... is it safe? will it help? what version is safe to upgrade to? help?

4.2.1.8 seems to be okay. I cant say I have seen a big difference between this and 4.2.1.1. I think my packet loss might be a bit better but its still much of a muchness.

Just upgrade, you can always downgrade.

Hello Insaniac,

If you have a look at the MyWireless dialler software there is a tools tab(I think) it provides an option to download a firmware upgrade.

This upgrade will take the firmware to 4.2.1.8 - the latest "official" Sentech release.

Moving to v5 is not recommended until Sentech upgrade the towers to that version.

k well i updated... packet loss seems less but the pings are way high... and quite jumpy...
