Are these chargers universal or specific to make and model

I like this concept.

The idea that one should primarily charge you EV at home is retarded.

What? terrible comparison. You dont have a fuel station at your home but you do have electricity right? SO WHAT IS THE FUSS ABOUT?
If you have charging stations everywhere like you have fuel stations, you don't need to provision any charging capability for your EV at home.

Why? Your car stands around in your garage while you're busy doing something else, it's the best time to normally charge it.

Wireless charging for cars finally became a standard, first cars should arrive next year.

Article about wireless charging for cars:

And there's after market retrofit stuff:

All still costly though. Wireless charging (in the US as a standard for what they want to roll out as) is currently 11kW, which is fine, it's around 5km/kWh for most electric cars, so that's 55km range/hour overnight charge, should be fine for most people's commute.

A charging station isn't that expensive if you're talking about something you'll use daily for the next few decades? Think it's like 1k EUR here after government subsidy (I'm including install, think just the device without subsidy is around 1k EUR for a good one, cheap ones like 500 EUR).

Why not, charging a vehicle when it is normally stationary is a great idea, and provisioning the ability to do it at home (even if its a trickly 20kw type of charger) is a great thing... doesn't negate needing charging stations everywhere though.

Jesus...OK, OK, please charge your EVs at home. It is clearly the best was by far to do it.
Charging infrastructure will be universally available pretty much everywhere worth going in the future. As for home charging, most early adopters who can afford these cars can afford the investment or simply charging at home.
