FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS!

Fleas cannot survive without a host. You need to find and get rid of the host. If you have cats or dogs, consider using Program - it disrupts the breeding cycle, without the side effects of poisons.

It always baffled me as to what the ecological purpose/niche things like fleas and mosquitoes play? What overarching purpose do animals like these play in the circle of life other than to annoy the **** outta things? :/

You'll have to speak to the creatures that eat fleas. Some do. Geckos eat insects, so I tolerate their pooing on my white walls.

AFAIK spiders and ants eat fleas, also creatures called nematodes which is also a parasite

In Natal we had problems with fleas, and tried everything - even hardcore industrial products. Nothing worked.

Then I found Dyflea - problem solved. Dyflea was the only product which worked - never had problems again.

As FNfal suggested, do what they tell you on the bottle - spray in those dark places where the eggs are etc.

My brother had the same thing and apparently the stuff targets the eggs and kills them. Eggs are the biggest problem with fleas - they are normally immune to regular treatments.

If you have pets, treat them with something from your vet that makes them sterile - problem solved. It's a long term solution that you should start tackling now. No shortcut here. That said, you can be sorted by next season.
