Hi guys, this is my first post on here and I literally just joined a few moments ago as a friend told me to post on here in an attempt to have something done to my line before I switch to something else. (Went on a massive rant and wanted to drop my servers with Telkom completely and advising some of my customers to do the same as they are having the same issues that I do.)
So about a week or two ago I bought a new router considering I was using my friends one and upon installing it I noticed that my ping to a JHB server went up by 3. Didn't think much of it and got my ISP to reset my ports (did this a couple of times) and from there everything just went down hill. My ping shot up to a constant 50 and sometimes even worse, it never improves.
So I asked the ISP to a log a fault on my behalf by Telkom and they did so, I did a follow up with my reference code on Telkoms Live Chat website and was greeted with a swift response. The person told me that this is highly unusual and that they would elevate my problem as it might be affecting my area. Another 2 days or so passed, tried to do another follow up on the site only to sit and wait the entire day on the live chat for a response to no avail. Tried calling them and i'm just left on hold. No one helps me.
So this is my last attempt to try and get some response and help from Telkom before canceling my service completely.
