Hi There,

Need some help findiing an isp that will charge me per meg of bandwidth for a total amount of 40 ADSL accounts. We Want to give all our employes ADSL access but still want to be able to manage these accounts so they dont become abused and also maybe have the ability to add and remove accounts as and when needed. The bandwidth can be shaped and will be for 384k line accounts.

Please let me kow if anyone has any suggestions..

wasabi, Mweb has prepaid pay per gig accounts, with 4 concurrent connections. It means u can use 1 account for 4 different pc's.

So for 40pc's, u will need 10 accounts. The accounts cannot be abused since its prepaid upto a cap that you choose. (and only 4 ppl are on that specific account.. so one of them should be responsible)

I'm not sure howmuch Mweb is asking for its prepaid per gig now, but it should be something like R75 to R95 per gig max.

Also note that this is not a monthly fee, its a prepaid fee. So basically if you give one account of 3gigs to 4 employees and they only browse around and email, meaning not doing any heavy downloading etc.. that account could last 3-4 maybe even 6months.

Also note that you can topup the account each 3months or 6months with a certian amount of gigs, so that the account doesn't expire and leave your employee's without internet access.

thats my 2cents

Why on earth would you refer the man to one of the most expensive ISP in the country? There are plenty of far far cheaper ISP's available. Sis and poofies for saying that word.

Buy the bandwith bulk and get some sort of user/bandwith managing/monitoring software. (IPcop?)

Bandwith: WebAfrica or OpenWeb seems to be the favorites.

I'm sure we could organize something with our accounts department. Let me know via email/PM if you're interested and I can run a quote through to you.

Hey,

@lantic has 1gig accounts at R109 and you can increase the cap yourself and add and remove the packages yourself as needed. Online control panel gives you a lot of freedom.

There is also the ADSL Pronto for 10c/mb option. Cap is completely customizable. ;)

support@lantic.net for info.

@lantic? Why would you pay R109.00 for 1GB when you can get the same for R59.00 from Axxess
