FNB bank is a piece of work ,fraud , scam

Well, you don’t have to sign the paper. You’re on social media.

Anything else?

Good day everyone

I’m facing a problem . Last year September money went out of my account (FNB). I blocked my account immediately and reported it to fraud but unfortunately it was too late .

Since then I’ve been asking repeatedly for a report from FNB and only now do they send after hounding them for so long .

At first the bank says I received an OTP and confirmed these multiple transactions.I did not ,I had my phone on me . So they said they can’t refund me my money .

I wrote back to them saying that I am not satisfied on this report and basically called them out on their bullshit and that I’d like to escalate this matter .

They sent another email changing their report saying I fell victim to phishing then offered to pay me an amount that is equal to what I lost .

Now they want me to sign a paper to say that I accept their offer and will not take this to any social media or anything .

Please advice on what to do

Accept their offer and have your money back? Delete these posts? Then go to another bank you think are not those things mentioned in the title?

Respectfully or not ,this is my experience with FNB and I say they are problematic, whether you think so or not ,is not my problem .

Thanks for our response but really I could’ve done without it .

Don't go assuming what I think, FNB can be pretty incompetent, Capitec is much better.

You asked for advise, I gave advice.

What is they advice you want to hear? Don't waste anyone else's time, say what you WANT to hear.

If you sin an NDA, then you can be sued if you take this to Social media.

I would sign and take beck my money then move to another bank.

Take the money and then move to another bank.

Absolutely disgusting from FNB. I can't believe they can stoop to this level.

Paying out money without reason to ungrateful customers when they could have rather paid it as a dividend to shareholders.

But back to this scenario. How does one prove you're not at fault? It seems like it's totally up to the bank to decide based on information that they don't add to the report.

Or do you think the OP messed up somewhere? What about things like Sim cloning etc.

It’s already on social media right ? You just typed the entire event here.

How do rich people lock their money up so that this scenario absolutely can't happen? Or do they have special guarantees from the bank?

Accept the offer, open a new account with another bank. Transfer all money, close said FNB account. Then make noise on social media.
