FNB just launched a bank branch made out of a shipping container

FNB has unveiled a new mobile banking unit made from a shipping container, and designed to extend banking services to unbanked rural communities in South Africa.

Pretty sure the FNB ATM at Caltex in Buitengracht street has had this setup for years now.

Maybe that was a trial and they are rolling it out now.

They've had the containers for a while. Last year when they were busy with renovations at the local branch, they had a container outside with 2 tellers plus 3 or 4 consultants.

+1, in my town too. Had one in the Mall's parking lot. Was mediocre, too say the least.
Not very innovative if you ask me. Makes them look like cheap skates.
