Perhaps I should now move to FNB - this is my last month at Standard Bank anyway

Last time I checked it doesn't actually work out any cheaper than buying the device straight. Is the appeal of it simply that its cheap financing or what?

Apple iPad3 Retina Display 32GB WiFi 4G

iGear.co.za: R8 559.00
FNB: R299.00 x 24 = R7 176.00

Cheapest other price I saw was R7 299.00 from a seller on bidorbuy.

And a good financing deal :)

So, will the 4G work on our networks, or will the majority of people just use Wi-Fi?

The Wifi 16GB "new iPad" is going for roughly R4800 ($558) on Amazon.com - excluding shipping or customs, so the FNB deal isn't bad at all.

I'm kinda hoping I don't get a white one, will clash with my living room. The banking charges are your normal banking fees, it's a fixed fee which covers all transactions (swiping, atm, internet and cellphone banking, etc). Just be sure to use FNB atm's, otherwise you will get shafted.
