FNB online banking and app outage

Outage is affecting fnb connect simcards too. No calls or data connections...

USSD shortcodes are down too...
 
Started just before 07:00 this morning.
Girlfriends phone hasn't been working at all and she uses it for work...

No backups from FNB? Also only the one update on Twitter 2 hours ago?
 
I am on the FNB network.

Data is dead.
Cannot call out.
Can receive calls.
 
Shocking. Just shocking. Their banking channels has had two major crashes in the last 6 months. And I was stuck at a shop trying to pay twice now! Once with a full trolley and a 4 year old clutching onto a toy for dear life. Had to abandon the trolley right there. :mad:

And now today I am without a data connection as I am on FNB mobile.

They really need to pull their pants up....

RPM/MyBB please contact them and do a follow up article. This falls within the website and your reader's interest. I would LOVE to hear their excuses and what is being done about this.

The app says "check your data connection..." I suppose they can't even put a message on there as they can't get on themselves. FNB do appear to suffer more total outage than any other local bank. Good thing I only use them as a backup bank.
 
I'm so gatvol of FnB. They change my interest rate on my savings account to 0% and played possum. Phones them and I'm still waiting for them to come back to me on why they just changes it to 0% without telling me as I would have moved the money to another account that is interest baring. They also payed out salaries 3 days late due to "slow" systems on their side. In the mean time my debit orders bounced and I had to fit the bill for the failures. FNB stands for F****Ng Bank
 
It was back for a brief moment but it seems down again now.

Was just able to add beneficiaries and make payments
 
Still trying to make a credit payment - the 3D secure system seems to not be sending out OTPs.

Standard Bank had massive outages last year (in fact, they're data center went down). But don't worry, this FNB outage will be forgotten as soon as the next bank screws up.

Funny though, the banks are having more and more issues the last couple of years. Maybe they should redirect some of that dual-CEO bonus money to fund infrastructure.
