My credit card was always my default payment option when I pay with FNB Pay. This morning it suddenly used my Aspire contactless card which is linked to my cheque account.

I looked in settings but I can't change it back so it use my credit card. My credit card is not listed as a default option. I have checked my credit card and it is active and has not expired.

Anybody know how I can fix this?

Do not know how to fix it but would like to add that I have the same issue from this morning. It is as if FNB Pay is not seeing my credit card account at all.

I have added a virtual card link to my credit card. I can not use it in the FNB pay settings but if I click on the virtual card there is an option to use FNB pay. I going to use that as an workaround.

I'm having the same issue, only realized yesterday payments were going off my Cheque account.

With scan to pay, the virtual cards atleast show up but the credit card is not present in both scan and tap to pay.

yea also see only my cheque card is an option for FNB pay for some reason, wife's too.

If I go to the virtual card and select FNB pay and then tap to pay it asks me what card to use and only the cheque is available

Tried reporting the issue but FNB support doesn't have the mental capacity to understand that there is an issue with the system. They kept telling me how to use FNB Pay.

Since others are having the same issue, I'll leave it to you folks to deal with them

I came here hoping someone had gotten through to a support agent with more than 2 brain cells... Not in the mood, maybe tomorrow

So... According to the FNB banker, there was an update to the app released on Sunday, but it is not published on the Google Play Store. They will escalate it... 24-48 hours turnaround.

This has happened to me twice. And on a Sunday. And on both times I complained, they couldn't help me because it wasn't office hours. When I finally called on Monday, the issue resolved itself and I looked like a noob who didn't know how to use the app :cautious:

For me it still shows the Cheque card only under tap to pay. Haven't received any app updates since 16 May.

Started carrying a wallet again after many months of doing without it :(

Samsung Pay is really awesome and waaaay faster than FNB pay if you are Android inclined I'd highly recommend going the Samsung route on your next phone purchase

I though Aspire was their rebrand of the Gold Cheque Account? I also notice transactions going off 'Aspire' the other day.

Weird. For FNB pay Still cannot select any other account than my cheque account. Have the new Huawei OS though. Was considering getting Huawei wallet (Samsung Wallet/Google Pay) but would you have to update the CVV every time for the virtual cards?
