I've considered myself to be one of the users to be happy with the wireless service.
Happy, that is, until a couple of days ago.
Subscribed around the 6th of may, and had been receiving download speeds between 20-30k. (I subscribed to the 256k package 12 month period, so for me, that was a-ok.)
Then a few storm clouds started gathering on the horizon.
#1) I do not get billed for the month of May.
I call the orcs, and after much pleading, manage to speak to someone in accounts.
Yes sir, they say, it was an error on our side, we'll just double bill you at the end of June.
All fine, so far.
#2) End of June, and account gets debited.
Check the amount, and it's over what I was expecting, by a couple hundred rands.
Phone the orcs, and again manage to speak to someone in accounts.
Seems fine to me, he says.
I ask him to explain the figures.
It's really simple, he says. You have the 512K package, 24 month contract.
Aww Crap.
2 weeks later, they finally manage to get their hands on my orig contract document, and phone back all full of apologies.
Sorry sir, we've sorted it out. We'll credit you for this month, and start billing you proper from August onwards.
Ok fine then.
Only now since their 'correction', I'm stuck with ****ty speeds of 7k and less.
Time to join the mob and the protest.
Sentech, you bastards!
*vigorous gesture*
